Luke is a writer, editor, comedian, economist, and poet.

Luke specializes in bringing complex policy issues to life through storytelling, creativity, and humor. His writing has appeared in The New Yorker, McSweeney’s, Points in Case, Slackjaw, 251, and the Weekly Humorist. Read some of his work here.

He performs comedy around NYC, and has appeared at Comedy Cellar, Stand Up NY, Broadway Comedy Club, Greenwich Village Comedy Club, and Caveat. He also produces backyard comedy shows in Brooklyn. See where he’s performing here.

He currently runs the communications team at the Yale’s Department of Economics, where he’s a Senior Writer and Editor-in-Chief of the Yale Economics Magazine. He has previously worked for MIT, the United Nations, Omidyar Network, and AI Now Institute. Learn more about his professional background here.

He graduated with an MPA from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, and a BA in Economics from Bates College. He’s currently enrolled in NYU’s TV and Screenwriting Certificate program, and would be thrilled to pull you aside at a party and make you listen to him talk about his pilot ideas.
